The Newington by-election has been postponed, due to coronavirus.
Katie has lived in Newington for five years and has two children at local schools. She believes Newington needs a local candidate who knows the area and will work hard for what matters for Newington - like health services, crime and community safety, housing, jobs and education.
Katie will:
- speak up for residents: Katie loves living in Newington, but, like other local residents, she is concerned about crime, health, jobs and local services.
- make sure Newington counts: with the other three Green local Councillors, Katie will make sure the voice of Newington is heard and residents are part of local decision-making.
Katie came second in Newington ward in May 2019, and with your support she can win this time. She said:
"If I'm elected, I will work with the other three Green Councillors to listen to residents and work hard for better health services, housing and public transport in and around Newington. I have experience of working with people to fight rising rents and want to make Newington a safe and affordable place to live. After coming second in the last elections, with your vote I can win and be a hard-working, local voice for Newington."
